ALLERGY ALERT: Updates to come soon

Some students in our school have severe life threatening allergies to: peanuts, nuts, fish /or seafood, mangos and kiwis. Any minimal contact with the product and its derivatives may cause anaphylactic shock (severe allergic reaction) and unconsciousness. In such a case, the allergy may even cause the student's death.

We are required to apply practices set by the Department of Education, which reduce the possibility of exposing the students to these substances that can provoke a severe allergic reaction. Our personnel has been informed of the situation and notified of appropriate measures in case a student suffers an anaphylactic shock.

We ask your for your cooperation in order to reduce the risk for those students who are allergic to : peanuts, nuts, fish and /or seafood. We ask that you insist that your children wash their hands before leaving for school, because the slightest residue of allergen may trigger an unfortunate incident to a severely allergic classmate. This is a situation that requires the attention of all. We are requesting your help by asking that you not send any products containing: peanuts, nuts, fish and /or seafood to school.

We appreciate your understanding in helping us create a more secure environment for all students.

Family/School Connection

In an effort to improve the level of communication between our school and your home, we are utilizing the Talk Mail feature that is part of our telephone service. The name of this project is THE FAMILY SCHOOL CONNECTION. In order for this endeavor to be successful, we will need your help. Participation by both parents and teachers is crucial to its success.

If you have removed Talk Mail from your telephone line, you can have it restored at no charge to you. All you need to do is call toll free 1(800)561-6283 and tell them you wish to have it put back on your line. If you have a rotary dial phone you will not be able to send or receive messages. You will need touchtone capability to use Talk Mail service.

You will not be charged for any messages you receive from our school. You will only pay for those messages you send or if you reply to a message. The cost is .25 cents per message or reply. It is not our intention to leave messages that will require a response and thus increase your bill.
